WirasatCalc is a free, bilingual (English/Urdu) tool built specifically for Pakistani families to understand how an estate would be divided under Islamic inheritance (Fara'id) rules.

What This Calculator Is For

When someone passes away, their family often needs to work out — quickly and without conflict — who inherits what. Doing this by hand means learning the rules for fixed Quranic shares (Fard), exclusion between relatives (Hajb), and the residuary system (Asaba), which together form a fairly technical area of Islamic law. Who It's For

WirasatCalc is built for ordinary families, not lawyers — the language, layout, and Rupee-based property inputs are designed around how inheritance actually gets discussed in Pakistani households. It's equally useful for:

• Families going through the initial, informal step of figuring out shares before visiting a lawyer or applying for a succession certificate.
• Anyone who wants to understand Islamic inheritance rules in general, using their own family structure as an example.
• Students or those simply curious about how Fara'id calculations work in practice.

What It Is Not

WirasatCalc is an educational and planning tool — it is not a fatwa, a legal document, or a substitute for a qualified Islamic scholar (mufti) or a lawyer familiar with Pakistani succession law. It currently calculates using the Hanafi (Sunni) methodology, which is the school followed by the majority in Pakistan; results are not applicable for Jafria (Shia) fiqh, which follows a different classification system. Our Approach

We built this tool to be transparent about its own limitations: every result includes plain-language notes explaining any adjustments (like Awl or Radd) that were applied, and flags heirs who inherit as "Asaba" (residuary) rather than hiding that detail behind a single number. Where a calculation touches a genuinely disputed or rare classical scenario, the tool says so rather than guessing silently.
